....happiness around us...

happiness comes through success and pursuit of happyness 'modifies' You, and You doesnt have a slightest of knowledge about it. Ideally, during the pursuit, the metamorphosis undergone by You should have a postive influence on You and the society. This metamorphosis should surface out the qualities of a true human being in You and make You a better person. Instead the non ideality seems to be the order of the day. In the pursuit of happyness You resort to all possible unfair means even to the extent of losing out their self-integrity and unfortunately the success achieved by this surfaces out negative qualities in You, qualities like selfishness, pride and so on . During the metamorphosis You stoops down to such a level, that the self-realization of You would make You feel like a 'savage'. In the process You emanates the negative influences to others in the society, and the spangs of 'negativitism' spreads.

Even though You is associated with so much of gloominess You is successful and remains happy and why You still remains happy is a million dollar question. Does this mean that if one should stoop down to whatever extent for the pursuit of happyness. Where do the lesson learnt in childhood have a role to play and apparently it seems the childhood lessons are practically non-existent in today's world. The paradox is that people who stoop down are the people who are successful.

The question which baffles me the most is that how could You barter You's self-integrity, You's self-esteem for happiness. Does the happiness achieved after such a deal still remains 'happiness'? This 'happiness though at times may be envied by others in society but is this happiness worth enjoying? This is the happiness around us if it's worthy enough to be called happiness.

NB : Here 'You' has been personified.

Kandi...the question really boils down to what one's perspective is anout these things....i mean there are people who will be content if surrounded by all materialistic objects not giving a damn about how they are getting there....and there is the second kind as well....we just pick what we want...and btw does your grammar suck so much or are thoes intended mistakes you have made....well it seems i might as well join the bandwagon soon....

well..i agree that there are people of second kind as well but what i meant was their population is one billionth of the first kind..btw as far as my grammar is concerned i'd like to clarify one thing...here 'You' has been personified....apart from that if there's anything else...i'd like to know!!

yes you got me with all those "You" at first... then it sunk in... the post is quite quite...
though i would like to know if you are very very unhappy???
and regarding the "pursuit of happyness" i sincerely feel that there should be none. we should just "be" happy! no matter what the situation. i know it is utopian. but it will do us worlds of good if stive to keep learning this art rather than all those things we associate our happiness with. :)

first of all congratulations that u actually started ur blog.. (out of my expectations really!!) and didnt even care to tell me about it.. btw nice title :)

nice first post. we all face such dilemmas in our daily lives but almost all have willingly/unwillingly given in to the easier of choices in stooping low in some or the other ways and made it a habit to such an extent that the question passes unnoticed or suppressed. but since you have given such a thought to it, i would revert to the good ol' advice that such a happiness is short lived and hollow. that is why in today's world no one is actually happy.

true that we cannot be a saint but i only prefer stooping to an extent to which my conscience does not hurt because ultimately we are only answerable to ourselves. beyond a limit i cannot regardless of whatever is at stake. keep a balance and dont despair.. your day will come :)

keep posting...

Congo buddy..pehla post..!!even m quite pleasantly surprised at dis new unexpected attempt..nd very glad 2 c another enlightened brother..!!

I personally feel that individual happiness is totally an individual's own perception of happiness..watever gives him satisfaction..can be running after the filthy lucre/power..watever it is..they might not exactly agree 2 u calling their 'happiness' not the real happiness..they way u perceive it..!!
However,if u look at d bigger picture of d world real happiness can really creep in only if ppl turn more compassionate, gentle, kind, sacrificing..d point u were trying 2 drive at indirectly..no two ways bout it.

P.S Somehow reminds me of making 2 free body diagrams of self and world !!:P

Everyone salutes the rising sun
....so even if somebody is getting success in exchange of his morality & integrity, then also society doesn't raise a voice against his deeds coz he has got power....So we are equally responsible for this scenario.
But i believe that at some point in their life these people suffer from guilt.
We should either be happy in every condition or be ready to take action against injustice...But all we do is just feel bad about it.
So Halla Bol!!!!
